We are delighted to host and facilitate a variety of rituals that support expectant and new mothers and families. The studio space is available for rent for parties and our trained staff is available to facilitate rituals and yoga experiences for you and your guests. We are especially experienced in hosting:
Blessing Way Ceremony
Kristie Lindblom, a certified Matrika Prenatal instructor, is available to facilitate rituals that support expectant mothers through labor and delivery. In these ceremonies, you can choose from a menu of activities that Kristie will facilitate. Although Kristie is open to creating a ceremony that is unique to you and your friends and family, she can also suggest some standard rituals and ideas if you are new to this type of experience. In all ceremonies, the women who are closest to and most supportive of the expectant mother gather around her in a supportive and sacred circle to honor birth as a life passage for women. These rituals are not based on any religion and we are happy to incorporate any symbols or ideas that are meaningful to you. Every woman deserves a ritual that honors her passage through pregnancy, labor and delivery and reminds her that she is loved and supported by a network of wise and loving women. Ceremonies are priced according to the materials required for the activities selected, the number of participants and the length of time the studio is rented. Welcoming the New Soul
The beginning of pregnancy is a time of transition for pregnant women as they negotiate the physical, emotional and spiritual challenges of early pregnancy. Many women struggle with the decision to tell family, friends and colleagues about their pregnancy and when it is “safe” or “appropriate” to make the announcement. In many cultures, it is understood that the soul enters the fetus 120 days after conception. We are delighted to host parties for expectant women and families, at around 4-months into pregnancy that allow for a public acknowledgment and community support for the expectant family. In general, these parties are casual and give the expectant family a formalized way to receive the love and joy of the community at the announcement of a new life. Our staff can provide some guidance on and facilitate rituals if desired, or we can simply host your soul welcoming gathering at the studio. Baby Showers
Rent Yoga Matrika studios for your next Baby Shower. We can staff your party and everyone can enjoy some relaxing yoga as part of the party or you can rent the spaces without including yoga or ritual in your shower plans. Baby Welcoming Parties
Rent Yoga Matrika studios for your baby welcoming or baby naming ceremonies. We have space for all your family and friends in our beautiful and comfortable studio spaces.
